Web design and development services for growing companies

PromotEdge International is an international web, digital marketing and AI company. We design and build websites, online stores and web apps for businesses in the USA, Canada and other markets, and we build them to bring in leads and sales. Our delivery team is in India.

In short

A good business website is fast on a phone, clear about what you sell, easy for your own team to update, and tested so that no lead gets lost. You can measure the first of those. Google's Core Web Vitals set three targets: main content loaded within 2.5 seconds, a response to taps within 200 milliseconds, and a layout shift score of 0.1 or less.

Design matters, and it comes after the plan. We decide who the site is for and what each page must do before anyone opens a design tool.

How we design and build a website

[CONFIRM: Benjamin Sardar reads this page and confirms these steps match client work]

  1. Goals and buyers

We start with who the site is for, what they need to see and what counts as a win.

  2. Page plan and wireframes

You approve the structure and the words on each page before the design stage, when changes are still cheap.

  3. Design

Phone first, in your brand, with real content in place of filler text.

  4. Build on a test site

You can follow the work on a private test address that search engines cannot index.

  5. Testing

We check phones and browsers, send test leads through every form, and measure speed and accessibility.

  6. Launch and first weeks

We put redirects in place, back up, go live, and watch search traffic and leads after the launch.

Who does the work, and from where

The work is delivered by our team in India. We travel to our clients every 3 to 4 months.

Why new websites disappoint, and how we avoid it

These are typical situations, not results from a named client.

  • It looks good and brings no leads

The design won approval, but nobody planned what a buyer should do next. We write the page plan and the lead path first.

  • Search traffic drops after launch

Old addresses were not redirected, or ranking pages were cut. We list every old address and give it a home before launch.

  • It is slow on a phone

Heavy images, sliders and too many plugins are the usual cause. We set a speed budget at the start and test on a mid-range phone.

  • Forms fail and nobody notices

A form that fails loses a lead without a sound. We run a test lead through each form to the inbox it should reach, and the page tells the visitor if a send fails.

  • Your team cannot edit it

If every change needs a developer, the site goes stale. We build editing around your staff and show them how it works.

  • Accessibility is left until a complaint arrives

US guidance says businesses open to the public must make their websites accessible under the ADA. We test against WCAG 2.2 during the build. Ask your lawyer what applies to your business.

Questions buyers ask us

WordPress, Shopify or custom: which should I choose?

Choose Shopify if selling products is the main job of the site. Choose WordPress for a company or content site that your team will update often. Choose custom when the site has to do something those platforms cannot, such as a customer portal. We will say which one fits, and a simpler answer is often the right one.

How much does a website cost?

We do not publish a price list, because a landing page and a store with thousands of products are very different jobs. The cost follows the number of page templates, the amount of custom design, the integrations and how much content needs writing. You see the scope and the fee in writing before work starts.

How long does a website take to build?

It depends most on the size of the site and how quickly you can review each stage. Content is the usual hold-up, so we plan who writes what at the start. The written scope gives a date for each stage. [CONFIRM: U13 typical build times by project size]

Can you redesign my site without losing search rankings?

We can protect them, though nobody can promise a move has no effect. We record what ranks and earns links today, keep what works, redirect every old address and watch the numbers after launch. Google's advice is to involve SEO as early as you can in a redesign.

Who owns the website when it is finished?

You should own the domain, the hosting account and the site. We set these up in your name, and paid themes and plugins go on your account. [CONFIRM: U14 our standard ownership clause]

Do you only build, or can you market the site too?

We do both, and that shapes the build, because SEO, tracking and lead forms are planned in from the start. See our digital marketing services for that side of the work.

I run an agency, or I want to outsource to a development team. Is this the right page?

Agencies should read white label web development, where your name stays on the work. If you have your own product and want a team to build it, read outsourcing web development.

Who does the work?

Benjamin Sardar, our Web Lead, runs web projects. Avijit Bhattacherjee leads the website coding team, front end and back end, and Raju Barui is a backend developer. They work with licensed tools and software.
